This SML cast iron tee, made of grey cast iron, is a key element of the SML sewage system. This system, compliant with EN-877 standard, is designed for the construction of gravity sewage and drainage installations inside buildings. This tee allows for effective branching of the pipeline, ensuring reliable wastewater drainage.
Construction and properties
The SML tee is distinguished by its high durability and resistance to external factors. The grey cast iron from which it is made guarantees stability and resistance to impacts and deformation. Connections in the SML system are made using special pipe clamps (clamps, straps, connectors), which ensures tightness and ease of installation.
It is worth noting the advanced protective coating: the external layer of primer paint (40 μm) protects against corrosion, and the internal epoxy resin coating (120 μm) protects against the aggressive action of wastewater. This combination ensures the longevity and reliability of the installation.

SYSTEM ADVANTAGES:
- NON-FLAMMABLE, FIRE PROTECTION - cast iron products made in accordance with en-877 are non-flammable, non-flammable (A2 flammability class according to EN 13501) and non-toxic (no smoke generation, no flammable or dripping materials due to the heat generated). In the event of fire, they retain their functional properties and reliability for many hours, i.e. their walls remain impermeable to flames and gases, without cracking and showing no loss of performance or significant changes in shape. The integrity of wall and ceiling ducts is also maintained.
- ACOUSTIC PROTECTION - Due to the high density of the cast iron and the buffer effect of the rubber gaskets at the connecting elements, the transmission of material sound has been reduced to a minimum, so this system offers an almost silent drainage. - THERMAL AND CHEMICAL RESISTANCE - a coating of fully cross-linked epoxy resin (red-brown on the outside and ocher (yellow-brown) on the inside) is applied to the surface of pipes and fittings, and then fired for 45 minutes at a temperature of approx. 180 ° C. The result is a high-strength joint that provides high thermal and chemical resistance, protecting against aggressive wastewater.
