Purpose and functionality

SF124WP is a 24-port PoE switch designed to efficiently power IP cameras operating according to the IEEE 802.3af/at standard. The device automatically detects devices requiring power in the PoE/PoE+ standard on ports 1 to 24, simplifying the installation and configuration of the monitoring system. This switch is particularly useful in systems where centralized camera power is crucial for reliability and ease of management.

Construction and connectivity

The switch offers a total of 26 ports – 24 PoE ports (10/100 Mb/s) and 2 Uplink ports (1 Gb/s). It also has two SFP UPLINK slots (1 Gb/s) that allow for flexible network expansion. Please note that ports G1/TP and G1/SFP and G2/TP and G2/SFP cannot operate simultaneously. The compact housing (dimensions: 442 x 44 x 224 mm) allows mounting in 19" racks (1U height), which is particularly important in professional installations.

Application and benefits

This PoE switch is perfect for video surveillance systems where cameras need to be powered over Ethernet. This reduces costs associated with installing separate power cables to each camera and increases system reliability through centralized power. Each PoE port provides up to 30W of power, and the total output power for all ports is 360W. Thanks to automatic MAC address learning and aging (1K size), the switch ensures optimal network performance. Optical signaling using LEDs makes it easy to monitor the device's operating status. Mounting brackets for a 19" RACK cabinet are included in the set.
