The HPB12-12-4.8 battery is a maintenance-free, VRLA (Valve Regulated Lead Acid) battery with self-regulating safety valves and internal gas recombination. Made in AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) technology, where the electrolyte is absorbed in a glass mat separator, ensuring reliability and minimizing the need for maintenance. This allows the battery to be mounted in various positions, even in areas with limited ventilation. This is particularly important for installations in alarm and fire systems.

Batteries from the HPB series are dedicated to professional buffer power supplies and systems requiring reliable voltage maintenance during power outages. They are suitable for:

• Security systems (CCTV, access control systems).

• Emergency power systems.

The battery construction ensures a long service life – from 5 to 8 years at 20°C – and its dimensions (150 x 100 x 98 mm) allow for easy integration with various devices. It is worth noting that one package contains 6 batteries, which is important for larger installations.

The HPB12-12-4.8 battery is characterized by a nominal voltage of 12V and a capacity of 12Ah. The recommended charging current is 1.2A, and the maximum is 3.6A. The charging voltage at 25°C is from 13.5 to 13.8V for buffer operation and from 14.4 to 14.9V for cyclic operation. The maximum discharge current (for 5 seconds) is as high as 180A. The weight of a single battery is approximately 3.5 kg. Low internal resistance (approximately 18 mΩ) translates to efficient energy use and minimal losses during operation. These batteries are also resistant to shocks and vibrations thanks to the solid AGM construction.
