The SCB18-12 battery is a maintenance-free, VRLA AGM technology lead-acid battery designed to ensure the continuity of critical systems. It is ideal for alarm systems, video surveillance (CCTV), access control, UPS power supplies and automation. Thanks to the applied technology, the battery is reliable and minimizes the need for maintenance. It is sold in packs of 2, making it an economical choice for larger installations.

Construction and operating parameters

The battery uses AGM technology (Absorbent Glass Mat), where the electrolyte is absorbed by a glass mat. This solution allows operation in various conditions, including in places with natural ventilation. Its compact dimensions (182 x 168 x 77 mm) make it easy to install even in limited spaces. Designed to operate in a wide temperature range – from -15°C to 50°C during discharge and from 0°C to 40°C during charging – ensures reliability in changing environmental conditions.

Charging and operation

The SCB18-12 battery is characterized by a nominal voltage of 12V and a capacity of 18Ah. The recommended charging current is 1.8A, and the maximum is 5.4A. The charging voltage for buffer operation is from 13.5V to 13.8V DC, and for cyclic operation from 14.4V to 14.9V DC. The designed battery life is 3 to 5 years at 20°C. Thanks to the VRLA construction with safety valves, the battery is safe to use and minimizes the risk of electrolyte leakage. Additionally, it is approved for air, sea and land transport in accordance with applicable regulations (IATA/ICAO Special Provision A67, DOT-CFR Title 49 parts 171-189, IMDG Amendment 27). The manufacturer's warranty is 1 year from the date of sale.
