Buffer power supply EN54C-3A7, designed for fire alarm systems, ensures uninterrupted power supply to devices requiring stabilized 24 V DC voltage. This is a key element in ensuring safety in buildings and facilities where reliable operation of fire protection systems is a priority. Design and parameters

The power supply is designed to work with two 7Ah/12V batteries, which guarantees long-term power supply in the event of a power failure. Its compact dimensions (330 x 305 x 82 mm) allow for easy installation in various locations. The current efficiency of 3A (momentarily) and 2.6A (continuously) provides sufficient power for a wide range of fire protection devices. Additionally, the power supply is characterized by high efficiency (89%) minimizing energy losses. The battery charging current is 0.4A.

Functionality and protection

The EN54C-3A7 power supply offers a range of protections that protect both the installation itself and the connected devices. These include short-circuit protection (SCP), overload protection (OLP), overvoltage protection (OVP), and deep discharge protection of batteries (UVP). It also has an anti-tamper protection – tamper, which signals an attempt to open the housing. Technical outputs EPS (AC power failure) and ALARM (collective failure) enable quick response in the event of problems. Additionally, it has an EXTi input – external failure.

Installation and application

The power supply is designed for surface mounting and equipped with a lock, which increases its security. Optical LED signaling informs about the operating status of the device. It is ideal for powering fire dampers, smoke dampers, signaling devices, and fire doors and curtains. It can also be used in smoke and heat control systems and other devices requiring a reliable power supply in fire protection systems. It works with optional EN54C-LB4/LB8 fuse modules and EN54C-LS4/LS8 sequential modules, allowing it to be adapted to the specific needs of the installation.
