Diaphragm expansion tank for DHW and potable water systems

This Refix DT-60 diaphragm expansion tank, with a capacity of 60 liters, is designed to maintain stable pressure in domestic water systems, booster systems, and domestic hot water (DHW) preparation systems. It is a key element ensuring comfort and safety, as well as protecting the installation from the effects of pressure and temperature changes. This tank is suitable for both residential and commercial buildings.

Construction and application

The Refix DT-60 tank is designed to operate in systems with a maximum working pressure of 10 bar and a medium temperature of up to 70°C. Its construction is based on a butyl diaphragm, compliant with PN-EN 13831, DIN 4807 part 5, and KTW-C and W 270 guidelines. This ensures high durability and safety. The tank has a FLOWJET Rp1 1/4" connection, which facilitates installation and integration with the existing system. It is made of painted steel, both inside and outside, which provides corrosion resistance and long-term operation.

Diaphragm expansion tanks perform three basic functions: maintaining constant pressure in the installation, compensating for changes in water volume caused by temperature fluctuations, and compensating for water losses resulting from system operation. In the case of the Refix DT-60 tank, the replaceable diaphragm allows for easy maintenance and extends the life of the device. Additionally, the tank has a PZH certificate, confirming its compliance with sanitary requirements for contact with drinking water. The set includes a pressure gauge protected by a metal guard and a pre-set pressure valve set to 4 bar. A MBM sensor port allows for monitoring the condition of the diaphragm.
