Battery‑powered electro‑hydraulic crimper for metal and plastic fittings

The ROMAX COMPACT III basic set is a compact, battery‑hydraulic crimper designed for systematic crimping of fittings in confined spaces. It operates wirelessly, does not require an external power source and is ready to work immediately after charging.

The press generates a piston force of 19 kN, allowing safe and repeatable crimping of fittings up to 35 mm in metal and 40 mm in plastics. The crimping cycle lasts exactly 3 seconds – the period during which the force is maintained at a constant level thanks to Constant Force Technology (CFT). This means there is no pressure drop during the process, and each crimp is uniform and compliant with standards.

The device weighs only 2.5 kg, with a length of 34 cm. An optimally balanced center of gravity ensures the hand is not fatigued even during prolonged use – e.g., when working at height or in hard‑to‑reach locations. The construction is optimized for ergonomics, not just power.

The set includes an 18 V / 2 Ah lithium‑ion battery and an EU‑type charger, providing complete independence from the mains. The battery is Li‑HD type and designed for multiple charge cycles – it requires no special handling or additional accessories.

A key feature is the ability to collect real‑time data via the ROTHENBERGER CONNECTIVITY app. The machine records crimping parameters – force, time, temperature – and generates logs directly on a phone or tablet. This not only simplifies documentation but also allows verification of installation compliance with technical requirements without additional measurements.

The set is supplied in a ROCASE case – portable and more impact‑resistant, facilitating transport and storage. The press operates from -10 °C to +60 °C, making it suitable for residential construction as well as industrial or outdoor conditions.

It is not intended for cutting or punching – its sole purpose is precise crimping of fittings. For this task it works faster, more accurately and more consistently than most hand tools.
