This three-pole overcurrent switch K60N-B16-3 is a key safety element in every electrical installation. Functionality and technical parameters

The switch with a rated current of 16A and characteristic B reacts quickly to sudden increases in short-circuit current (from 3 to 5 times the rated current), protecting circuits from damage. The rated short-circuit breaking capacity Icn is 6kA at both 400V and 230V, which guarantees effective protection in the event of a failure. Energy limitation class 3 minimizes the effects of a short circuit. The use of a thermomagnetic release combines protection against overloads (thermal action) and short circuits (magnetic action).

The switch has tunnel terminals allowing the connection of rigid conductors with a cross-section from 0.5 to 35 mm² and stranded conductors from 0.5 to 25 mm². The width of the device, 3 modules (54mm), allows for efficient use of space in the distribution board. Designed to operate at temperatures from -25°C to +70°C.

Installation and application

The K60N-B16-3 switch is designed for mounting on a DIN rail. Double terminals from below (rail + wire) facilitate connection and ensure a secure connection. Serrated terminals further increase the security of the wire connection. A trip indicator guarantees fast closing of the contacts regardless of the speed of maneuvering the device lever. The device meets the requirements of EN/IEC 60898-1 standard and has a protection degree of IP20.
