Characteristics and application

The K60N series circuit breaker, with a rated current of 16A and C characteristic, provides optimal protection for electrical circuits. Characteristic C means that the circuit breaker reacts more slowly to short-term current surges, which is particularly important when connecting devices with motors or other loads generating high inrush currents – this avoids unnecessary tripping of the circuit. The rated short-circuit breaking capacity of 6kA (at 400V and 230V) guarantees effective disconnection of the circuit in the event of a serious failure. Mounting is on a DIN rail, which simplifies and speeds up installation.

Construction and user features

The design of the circuit breaker has been carefully thought out with ease of installation and use in mind. Dual connection terminals (busbar + wire) increase connection flexibility, and serrated terminals ensure a secure connection and minimize the risk of wires loosening during operation. The snap-action contact guarantees quick and reliable circuit closing regardless of the speed of lever operation. The circuit breaker has a protection rating of IP20, which means protection against touching with a finger and solid objects with a diameter greater than 12.5 mm. The width of the device – 3 modules – allows for efficient use of space in the distribution board. The ability to connect wires with a cross-section from 0.5 to 35 mm² (solid) and from 0.5 to 25 mm² (stranded) ensures compatibility with various types of electrical installations.
