Circuit breakers iC60 – reliable installation protection

The iC60H-C50-4 circuit breaker is a four-pole device designed to effectively protect electrical circuits against overloads and short circuits. It is characterized by a rated current of 50A and a C characteristic, which means it trips at 5-10 times the rated current. This characteristic makes it particularly well suited for inductive loads, such as motors or fluorescent lighting, where higher inrush currents occur.

This model of circuit breaker offers a high short-circuit breaking capacity – up to 15kA at 400V (according to IEC 60947-2) and 10kA at 230V and 400V (according to EN 60898). This ensures effective protection of the installation in the event of a failure. Energy limitation class 3 further increases the level of safety.

The design of the iC60H-C50-4 circuit breaker has been carefully thought out for both installers and end-users. The ability to remove a single device without removing the busbar and removal from the DIN rail without tools significantly facilitate installation and servicing. Double terminals allow connection of wires with a cross-section from 1 to 35 mm² (solid) or from 1 to 25 mm² (stranded) from both the top and the bottom.

Status indicators and safety

Equipped with an optical VisiTrip indicator, which informs about the tripping of the circuit breaker due to a disturbance (red color), allows for quick identification of the problem. Additionally, the VisiSafe indicator indicates whether the contacts have been physically opened (green color), ensuring safety during maintenance work on the downstream circuit.

Application and compliance with standards

iC60 circuit breakers are used in a wide range of installations – from residential buildings, through commercial properties, to industrial facilities. They meet the requirements of IEC/EN 60947-2 and IEC/EN 60898-1 standards, guaranteeing a high level of safety and reliability. The device operates in the frequency range of 50-60 Hz and ambient temperature from -35°C to +70°C. IP20 protection degree provides basic protection against accidental contact.
