Acti9 iSD signalling contact – reliable trip information
The iSD signalling contact for Acti9 is a modular element functioning as a remote trip indicator in case of a failure of the associated device. It enables quick identification of the problem in the electrical installation, which translates to reduced downtime and increased safety. It is compatible with residual current circuit breakers with overcurrent protection and overcurrent circuit breakers of the Acti9 series (iDT40, iDT40 XA, iDD40).
This signalling contact is particularly useful in commercial installations and residential buildings where a quick response to a failure is crucial. Thanks to its compact size (0.5 module width) it is easy to mount in existing switchboards. A mechanical indicator on the housing allows for local visual identification of the trip status.
Functionality and technical parameters
The iSD contact has one changeover contact (1 CO) which can be used to signal the trip status to control systems, BMS systems or other monitoring devices. The rated current of the contact is 0.1 A, and the rated voltage is 240 V AC/DC. The possibility of using it as a normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC) contact increases its versatility.
Screw terminals allow connection of wires with a cross-section from 0.5 mm² to 4 mm², both solid and stranded with ferrules. This provides flexibility during installation and adaptation to different types of wires. The IP20 protection degree guarantees protection against finger contact, which is important from the point of view of safety.
Mounting and compliance with standards
Mounting is done by clipping onto the DIN rail, which greatly simplifies the installation process. The Acti9 iSD signalling contact meets the requirements of EN/IEC 60947-5-1 and GB/T 14048.5 standards, which confirms its compliance with applicable safety and quality standards. It also has CE and UKCA certificates. Operation at a temperature from -35°C to +70°C ensures reliable operation in various environmental conditions.
