This residual current device is characterized by a sensitivity to leakage currents of 30 mA, which ensures a quick response in the event of a risk of electric shock. Type A means that it effectively reacts to sinusoidal and pulsating leakage currents, which is important when protecting electronic devices. The B tripping characteristic guarantees appropriate selectivity and minimizes the risk of unnecessary tripping of the circuit during short-term current surges – for example, when starting motors. The rated short-circuit breaking capacity of 6 kA ensures effective protection of the installation in the event of a serious failure.

The design of the device has been carefully thought out in terms of ease of installation and diagnostics. The two-pole lever allows unambiguous identification of which pole of the device has tripped (overcurrent or residual current), which facilitates problem location. Optical indicators Visi-Trip (white-red) and Visi-Safe (green) additionally inform about the status of the device – indicating electrical tripping and confirming the opening of the contacts. Additionally, the ability to perform a functionality test with the "T" button (once a year for the first 7 years of use) allows for regular control of the device's efficiency.
