Overcurrent circuit breaker iC60L-C0.5-3 is an element of the iC60 series, designed to protect against short circuits and overloads in electrical installations. The device with a rated current of 0.5A and C characteristic, is used in residential, commercial and industrial buildings. The three-pole design provides comprehensive circuit protection.
This circuit breaker is distinguished by its versatility – it meets the requirements of IEC/EN 60947-2 and IEC/EN 60898-1 standards. This makes it an optimal solution for a wide range of applications. The C characteristic allows for a slower response to short current surges, therefore it tolerates starting devices with a motor well. The rated short-circuit breaking capacity reaches 15 kA at 400V and 230V (according to EN 60898) and as much as 100 kA at 400V and 230V (according to IEC 60947-2), which guarantees effective protection of the installation in the event of a failure.
Construction and mounting features
The iC60L-C0.5-3 circuit breaker has a double latch allowing for removal without tools and an optical VisiTrip indicator signaling the release operation. It is possible to connect two wires of different cross-sections (1-25 mm² for solid and 1-16 mm² for stranded) which facilitates installation. It also provides insulated screw terminals with a degree of protection of IP20. Mounting is on a DIN rail, and the device can be removed from it without additional tools. Power losses are only 2.3W.

This circuit breaker is ideal for circuits requiring protection against overload and short circuit – both in AC and DC installations (Voltage type: AC/DC). Designed to operate in ambient temperature from -35°C to 70°C and with a pollution degree of 3, it is resistant to harsh working conditions. The rated impulse withstand voltage Uimp is as high as 6 kV, which further increases its reliability. The energy limitation class is 3 and the surge category is IV. The width of the device is 3 modules (44.5 mm mounting depth).
