iC60N circuit breaker – reliable installation protection

The iC60N-C20-3N circuit breaker is a three-pole device designed to protect electrical circuits against overloads and short circuits. Its construction based on proven Schneider Electric technology guarantees high reliability and safety of use both in home, commercial and industrial installations. This circuit breaker, with a rated current of 20A, is perfect for protecting various loads, ensuring stable and safe operation of the installation.

Functionality and design features

iC60N is characterized by unique solutions that facilitate installation and diagnostics. The double latch allows for quick removal of the circuit breaker without disconnecting the busbar, which significantly speeds up service work. The VisiTrip indicator, signaling electrical tripping (red color), allows for quick location of the damaged circuit. Additionally, the VisiSafe indicator informs about the physical opening of the contacts (green color), ensuring safety during maintenance work. The ability to connect two wires of different cross-sections is another feature that facilitates installation.

Application and technical parameters

The iC60N circuit breaker with characteristic C is particularly recommended for protecting circuits with inductive loads, such as fluorescent lighting or electric motors. Characteristic C allows it to react more slowly to short current surges, therefore it tolerates starting devices with a motor well. The rated short-circuit breaking capacity (Icn) is 6 kA at 400 V and 6 kA at 230 V, and the Icu capacity according to IEC 60947-2 is 10 kA at 400 V and 20 kA at 230 V, respectively. The circuit breaker has energy limitation class 3 and surge category 4, which ensures effective protection of the installation against the effects of disturbances. The width of the device is 4 modules, and the embedding depth is 44.5 mm. It is designed to operate in an ambient temperature from -35°C to 70°C. The rated impulse withstand voltage Uimp is as high as 6 kV.
