Motor starter TeSys GV4 is a reliable protection for electric motors, designed for both industrial applications and building installations. This three-pole switch with a rated current of 7A provides effective protection against overload and short circuit, minimizing the risk of damage and downtime.

Protection and performance

The GV4PE07S switch combines thermal and magnetic functions, guaranteeing comprehensive motor protection. The thermal characteristic allows reaction to long-term overloads, and the magnetic one – to sudden current surges, such as short circuits. The rated short-circuit breaking capacity (Icu) of 100kA at 400V AC ensures safety even in difficult working conditions. Using the TeSys GV4 switch translates to a longer motor life and reduced repair costs.

Mounting and construction

The GV4PE07S switch is characterized by a compact design (81 mm wide, 155 mm high and 116 mm deep) and an IP40 protection degree, which ensures resistance to dust and moisture. EverLink terminals allow quick and secure cable connection using screw connections. The lever actuator facilitates switch operation. The device is supplied as a complete unit in a housing, ready for mounting in a distribution board. The setting range of the overload trip unit is 2.9 - 7A, and the short-circuit trip unit – fixed 119A, allowing to adapt the characteristics to a specific application. Power losses are 13.8W at rated operating voltage 690…690 V.
