Acti9 iID residual current circuit breaker — comprehensive electrical installation protection

This 4-pole B-SI type residual current circuit breaker with a rated current of 63A and a sensitivity of 300mA provides effective protection against electric shock and fire hazards in three-phase installations. Thanks to SI technology, it offers increased immunity to electrical disturbances, protecting circuits from smooth direct currents originating from frequency converters, inverters, and uninterruptible power supplies.

Design and functionality

The device is equipped with innovative operating status indicators. VisiTrip is a mechanical fault indicator on the front panel that significantly shortens intervention time by clearly indicating the device causing the trip. VisiSafe is a control window with a green strip on the lever that signals full pole opening, enabling safe maintenance work.

The circuit breaker features double connection terminals allowing for bidirectional connection of wires or busbars. The connections support single-core wires with a cross-section of 1-35 mm² and multi-core wires of 1-25 mm². Mounting is performed on a standard DIN rail (35mm), and the installation depth is only 44mm with a width of 4 modules (72mm).

An operating temperature from -25°C to 60°C and an IP20 protection rating ensure stable operation in difficult environmental conditions. Power loss of 4.23W guarantees energy efficiency.

Functional expansion

The device can be expanded with auxiliary modules: undervoltage release (iMN), overvoltage release (iMSU), shunt trip (iMX), auxiliary switch for status signaling (iOF), and fault signaling switch (iSD). This modularity allows for the adaptation of functionality to the specific needs of the installation.

Normative compliance and safety

The circuit breaker meets the requirements of standards IEC/EN 61008-1, IEC/EN 61008-2-1, IEC/EN 62423, IEC 61543, and VDE 0664. The rated impulse voltage is 6kV, and the current impulse immunity reaches 3kA. The rated short-circuit capacity is 10kA, ensuring safe interruption even of high short-circuit currents.

Mechanical durability reaches 20000 switching cycles, and electrical durability reaches 15000 cycles, guaranteeing many years of operation without the need for frequent device replacement.
