Residual Current Device (RCD) iID-40-2-30-A 40A 2-pole 30mA type A A9Z21240

Residual Current Device (RCD) iID provides reliable protection for electrical installations, designed for both home and commercial use. The device effectively protects against electric shock and insulation damage, ensuring the safety of users and the installation. This model, with a rated current of 40A and a sensitivity of 30mA, is two-pole (2P) and designed to operate in 230V networks.

Functionality and Application

The Type A RCD is ideal for protecting circuits powering devices with resistive and inductive characteristics. Its construction based on Acti 9 technology guarantees high reliability and long life. DIN rail mounting simplifies installation and integration with existing distribution boards. The use of this RCD is crucial wherever effective protection against leakage currents is required, for example, in bathrooms, kitchens, garages, or outdoors.

Installation and User Comfort

This model stands out with a number of features that facilitate both installation and subsequent operation. Dual terminals allow the connection of two wires of different cross-sections – saving time and flexibility during installation. The Visi-Trip optical indicator informs about the tripping of the RCD, making it easier to diagnose the problem. Additionally, the ability to remove a single device without disassembling the entire connection busbar and removal from the DIN rail without tools significantly speeds up service work. Regular testing of proper operation with the "T" test button (once a year for the first 7 years) ensures the correct functioning of the device. The N conductor located on the left side facilitates alignment with overcurrent circuit breakers.

Key features:

  • High short-circuit strength (1.5 kA) – provides resistance to sudden current surges, protecting the device from damage.

  • Wide range of wire cross-sections (1-25 mm² multi-strand, 1-35 mm² solid core) – allows connection of wires of different thicknesses, adapting to the specifics of the installation.

  • Rated impulse withstand voltage 6 kV – increases resistance to overvoltages in the electrical network.

  • Protection degree IP20 – provides protection against finger contact and solid objects larger than 12.5 mm.

  • Width of 2 modules – compact dimensions allow for efficient use of space in the distribution board.

  • Ambient temperature in operating conditions from -25°C to 60°C - allows use in difficult environmental conditions

  • Mechanical lock - prevents accidental switching on or off of the circuit breaker

The A9Z21240 RCD is a solid and reliable solution for every installer and user looking for safe and effective protection of their electrical installation.

Double terminals - the possibility of direct connection of two wires with different cross-sections. Optical Visi-Trip indicator for electrical trip, white and red. Possibility to disassemble a single apparatus without the need to remove the busbar. Removal from the DIN rail without the use of tools. Possibility to check the correct operation with the "T" control button only once a year, during the first 7 years of use. The N track on the left side makes it easy to connect to the miniature circuit breakers.
