Solution for direct starting of three-phase motors
The LE1M35Q716 starter enclosure from the TeSys LE series is a complete modular kit designed for the manual starting and stopping of three-phase squirrel cage motors. The enclosure houses a factory-connected LC1K contactor and an LR2K thermal overload relay, eliminating the need to select and independently wire these components at the installation site - you only need to connect the motor power wires and the control buttons.
The enclosure construction is made of ABS plastic (polycarbonate is used in some variants of the series), which provides solid mechanical resistance in industrial conditions. The IP65 protection rating means full dust tightness and protection against water jets - making the starter suitable for installation in production halls, engine rooms, or the food industry, where the presence of moisture or dust is a daily occurrence.
On-board control elements
On the front panel of the enclosure, there are two pushbutton buttons: a green "I" Start button used to start the motor and a red "O/R" Stop/Reset button that allows both stopping operation and manually resetting the thermal alarm after the overload relay has tripped. Additionally, a yellow operating indicator is mounted, which signals coil fault states - the first signal of such a problem appears as a yellow LED light.
The LR2K thermal relay operates in temperature compensation mode, meaning its tripping characteristic accounts for ambient temperature changes - preventing false trips during natural thermal fluctuations of the installation. The relay setting range is 8-11.5 A, and the tripping class is class 10A, meaning the time elapsed from short circuit to trip falls within the range characteristic of standard motor starting (with a normal starting time not exceeding approximately 10 seconds). The manufacturer also allows for external resetting - an additional reset button can be connected from anywhere on the line.
Electrical operating parameters
The starter operates with a coil powered by an alternating voltage of 380-400 V AC (50/60 Hz). For standard industrial networks with a phase-to-phase voltage within the range of 380-440 V, the control circuit is factory-connected between the phases - saving the installer time on wiring the control circuit itself. For other supply voltages, it is necessary for an electrician to manually create this internal connection.
The maximum ambient temperature during operation is 40°C, and the minimum is -5°C. The enclosure dimensions are 78 × 160 × 108 mm (width × height × depth), and the weight is approximately 0.6 kg. Connection of both the main (power) contacts and the auxiliary circuit is carried out via standard screw connections.

The device complies with the requirements of the IEC 60947-4-1 standard, which defines the coordination type conditions between protective devices and the starter itself - machine manufacturers can use it as confirmation of the correct AC-3 utilization category for three-phase induction motors.
