Construction and properties

This cable features a U/UTP construction, meaning it has no shielding on the pairs or a common shield. It has 8 copper conductors twisted in pairs, ensuring good signal quality. The conductor insulation is made of polyethylene (PE), and the protective coating of aluminum and polyethylene (Al/PE) provides durability and resistance to mechanical damage. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 5.2 mm, and its weight is 29 kg/km. The cable is UV resistant, making it ideal for long-term outdoor use. Additionally, it has radial and longitudinal sealing, which increases its durability in harsh conditions.

Applications and compliance with standards

The SecurityNET SEC5EUTPD cable is perfect for computer network, telephone, CCTV and IP systems installations. It is suitable for computer data transmission and as a signaling cable. It meets the requirements of category 5e UTP and standards ISO/IEC 11801 and EN 50173. The fire reaction class is Fca, and the permissible operating temperature during installation is -40°C to 60°C, and after installation (without vibration) from 0°C to 60°C. The minimum bending radius during fixed installations is 42 mm, and for mobile installations – 52 mm. The cable has a marking of compliance with HD 308 S2 for color-coded conductor identification.
