Construction and application

The SecurityNET U/UTP Cat. 5e cable is characterized by a construction of four twisted pairs of copper conductors, insulated with polyethylene (PE). The outer coating made of PE provides protection against mechanical damage and weather conditions. The gel-filled construction protects against moisture and corrosion. This makes the cable ideal for applications requiring high reliability and durability – from residential buildings to industrial facilities and video surveillance systems.

Its outer diameter is approximately 5.4 mm, and the permissible operating temperature ranges from -40°C to +60°C during installation and from 0°C to +60°C after installation. Signal propagation (NVP) is 62%, which ensures efficient data transmission over appropriate distances. The weight of the cable is approximately 39 kg/km, which facilitates its transport and installation. The minimum bending radius during permanent installation is 43 mm, and in the case of movable installations – 54 mm. The cable has radial and longitudinal sealing to increase its resistance to moisture penetration.
