The ST4 water meter pit is a solid solution for securing a water meter, designed for both professional installers and end users. Its construction minimizes the risk of damage and provides convenient access to the measuring device.

Construction and properties

The ST4 pit is distinguished primarily by effective insulation. Both the external and internal parts of the upper section of the pit are insulated with polyurethane with a thickness of 500 mm at a height of 800 mm. Additionally, the cover is equipped with integrated polyurethane insulation with a thickness of 250 mm. This solution protects the water meter from freezing even at temperatures down to -30°C, if the water meter is mounted approx. 30 cm below the cover with a thermal plug. This is crucial in regions exposed to severe frosts – you avoid problems with interruptions in water supply and costly repairs.

The lack of a bottom in the pit is another important feature. It allows installation in areas with a high water table without fear of buoyancy forces. Thanks to this, the meter reading is possible without having to drain the pit of water – you save time and effort. The pit cover is made of hardened plastic class A15, which guarantees resistance to loads up to 1.5 tons. The option to order a cover with a lock provides additional security and protection against unauthorized access to the water meter.
