The MRU-21 earth resistance meter is a versatile device designed for measuring earth resistance using the technical method, as well as checking the continuity of protective and equipotential bonding. It is a robust piece of equipment that will be appreciated by both professional installers and those involved in the independent maintenance of electrical installations. The device is characterized by ease of use, high resistance to interference, and measurement accuracy.

Functionality and application

MRU-21 allows measurements of earth resistance using two methods: 3-wire with auxiliary electrodes and 2-wire – simplified. Additionally, the meter checks the continuity of equipotential and protective bonding, meeting the requirements of PN-EN 61557-4. Thanks to the possibility of measuring the resistance of auxiliary electrodes RS and RH, it is possible to assess their condition and impact on the measurement result. The device also allows for the measurement of disturbance voltages, which is important when working in environments with variable electrical conditions. The selection of measurement voltage (25 V or 50 V) allows the device to be adapted to the specifics of the installation.

The built-in memory allows you to save up to 990 measurement results in 10 banks of 99 points each. Data transfer to a computer via the USB interface enables archiving and analysis of results. The meter is powered by batteries or rechargeable batteries, and the LCD display with backlight ensures readability of indications even in difficult lighting conditions.

Construction and durability

The housing with IP54 protection guarantees safe use in harsh weather conditions and protects against splashing. The solid construction ensures long-lasting and reliable operation of the device. The set includes essential accessories: measuring cables of various lengths, crocodile clips, a ground stake, a case, and a battery container with a set of LR14 batteries. The included calibration certificate confirms the accuracy of the measurements.
