This surface-mounted, automatic fire alarm button OP1, with one normally open contact (1NO) and two normally closed contacts (2NC), is a key element of the fire alarm system. Construction and operating principle

The alarm is made of durable red plastic, which makes it easy to identify in an emergency. Its housing with dimensions of 113 x 113 x 52 mm has an IP65 protection rating – this guarantees resistance to dust and water jets, making it an ideal solution for both indoor environments and those with increased humidity. Model OP1-W01-A\12-M is a type A version – after breaking the glass, the button is released automatically, immediately initiating the alarm signal. The protective glass prevents accidental triggering of the alarm while allowing for a quick response in a real threat situation.

Its versatility results from the possibility of configuring the current paths – versions with normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC) contacts, as well as mixed (NC/NO) versions are available, allowing adaptation to the specifics of the installation. The electrical parameters of the alarm include a continuous rated current of 10 A, a rated switching current AC-15 of 2.5 A at 230 V and 1.6 A at 400/500 V. The rated switching current DC-13 is 4 A at 24 V, 1 A at 110 V and 0.25 A at 220 V. For connection, it is recommended to use wires with a cross-section of 2 x 1…2.5 mm² for solid wires and 2 x 0.75…1.5 mm² for stranded wires. The rated insulation voltage is 500 V.
