Product features
- Manual activation button PWP1 – safety and signaling
The PWP1 manual activation button is a key element of fire protection systems, designed to quickly disconnect the power supply in the event of a hazard. The device allows the activation of the “Fire Power Disconnector”, which is essential for ensuring safety during rescue operations. This button, thanks to its construction and functionality, finds application in both public buildings and industrial facilities.
Construction and functionality
The PWP1 button is characterized by a solid plastic construction, providing resistance to mechanical damage. The dimensions of the device (113 x 113 x 52 mm) allow for easy mounting in various locations. The IP65 protection class guarantees resistance to dust and water jets, enabling its use in harsh environmental conditions. Equipped with dual LED signaling – red (supervisory status) and green (activation status) – provides a clear and readable indicator of the device's status. The red LED lights up during normal operation of the disconnector, and after breaking the glass, the green LED lights up, signaling the activation of the disconnector. The LEDs are terminated with a connection block, which facilitates integration with the electrical system.
Application and compliance with standards
The PWP1 button can be used as a “Fire Power Disconnector” provided that an appropriate information plate is placed above it (included). It meets the requirements of standards PN-EN 60947-5-1, IEC 60947-5-1 and IEC 60947-1, which confirms its high quality and reliability. Additionally, it has a National Technical Assessment CNBOP-PIB-KOT-2019/2024/0110-1014 issue 1 and a National Certificate of Conformity No. 063-UWB-0625. Designed to operate at temperatures from -25°C to +70°C. Example rated insulation voltage is 500V and rated continuous current is 10A.
It is important to remember to choose the appropriate type of button (A or B) depending on the installation needs and the minimum number of wires needed to connect the disconnector (from 4 to 7 wires depending on the configuration).
