Pressure reducer 6243.1 5/4 inch, 90°C, 1.5–5 bar
Designed for operation in heating and hot‑water installations where a stable outlet pressure is critical for safety and efficiency. This model operates in the range of 1.5 to 5 bar — ideal where precise reduction from a higher network pressure is required, e.g., from main systems to local levels.
It operates safely at temperatures up to 90 °C, making it suitable for domestic hot water circuits and low‑temperature heating systems. It is not intended for steam applications or higher temperatures — do not exceed this limit.
The 5/4‑inch fitting dimensions correspond to standard pipelines in commercial installations and multi‑family buildings. Installation is simple — external threads on both sides allow direct connection to pipes without the need for additional fittings or adapters.
The internal design is based on a stable diaphragm and spring that respond to inlet pressure changes, maintaining a constant outlet value. It requires no external adjustment — the setting is factory‑set and cannot be modified by the end user or installer.
There is no check valve or filter — if the installation contains contaminants, a separate filter must be installed upstream of the reducer. The absence of an internal filter is a deliberate manufacturer decision: easier maintenance and lower risk of diaphragm blockage.
The 1.5–5 bar value is not an adjustable range — it is the operating range. It cannot be changed to other values (e.g., 0.5–3 bar) without replacing the entire unit. If you need different parameters — choose model 6243.2 (5–8 bar), which has the same construction but a different spring.
It operates in a single flow direction — do not install it reversed. A flow‑direction arrow is marked on the housing — check it before installation.
There is no pressure indicator or gauge — if you need to monitor the outlet pressure, install a separate pressure gauge downstream of the reducer.
