This power cable YKXS, with a cross-section of 6 mm² and single core, is designed for reliable transmission of electrical energy in a wide range of applications. It performs excellently in industrial installations, power plants, and local power networks. Its construction and materials ensure long-term operation even under demanding conditions.

Construction and Applications

YKXS cables are a universal solution for fixed installations—both indoors and outdoors. They can be installed in cable ducts or directly buried in the ground. The use of cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) as conductor insulation is key to superior electrical parameters, reduced weight, and more compact dimensions compared to traditional PVC-insulated cables.

The cable construction includes:

• Conductors made of soft copper strands (available in classes RE, RM, SM – compliant with PN-EN 60228), ensuring flexibility and ease of installation.
• Insulation made of cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE), providing high resistance to mechanical and thermal damage. Conductor insulation colors comply with PN-HD 308 standard; the YKXSżo 0.6/1 kV cable includes a green-yellow protective conductor for enhanced safety.
• Twisted insulated cores ensuring neat arrangement and simplified identification of individual conductors.
• An outer sheath of fire-retardant PVC in black color, protecting the cable from external environmental factors. Other colors are available upon request.

• YKXSżo-O 0.6/1 kV and YKXS-O 0.6/1 kV: Oil- and hydrocarbon-resistant cables – ideal for fuel stations, storage facilities, and fuel transfer terminals.
• XnKXSżo 0.6/1 kV and XnKXS 0.6/1 kV: Low-halogen, flame-retardant cables – enhance fire safety by minimizing smoke and corrosive gas emissions during combustion.
• Armored cables: Protected by round steel wires or steel tape – designed for locations exposed to mechanical damage.
