Construction and properties

The H05V-K cable is characterized by a single copper core with a cross-section of 1 mm², made of stranded wire class 5 – which provides it with high flexibility and resistance to mechanical fatigue during repeated bending. The core is insulated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC), which provides good protection against mechanical damage and environmental factors. The whole is surrounded by an external PVC coating, giving the cable additional strength. The round shape makes it easy to run in conduits and cable ducts.

This cable is designed to operate at temperatures from -40°C to +50°C after installation and from -15°C to +50°C during installation, making it suitable for use in various climatic conditions. Additionally, it is resistant to low temperatures according to EN 60811-504+505+506. The core resistance is 19.5 Ohm/km, and the permissible core temperature is 70°C. The cable has a fire reaction class of Eca according to EN 13501-6, which means limited flammability and smoke emission in the event of a fire. It is also flame retardant according to IEC 60332-1-2.
