H05V-U Cable Characteristics

H05V-U (DY) is a single-core cable with PVC insulation, designed for fixed installation in electrical systems. It is manufactured in accordance with PN-HD 21.3, PN-HD 21.7, DIN VDE 0281-3, and DIN VDE 0281-7 standards.

Construction and materials ensuring durability

The conductor consists of annealed copper wires, available in three flexibility configurations: Class 1 single-wire, Class 2 multi-wire, and Class 5 flexible multi-wire according to PN-EN 60228. The insulation is made of TI1 type PVC or TI3 type heat-resistant PVC, providing resistance to high temperatures and chemical agents.

The cable is available in a wide range of insulation colors - from classic black and brown through blue and red to specialized shades such as turquoise or violet. Two-color combinations are also available according to project requirements.

Operating parameters and operating conditions

The cable operates stably in an ambient temperature from -40°C (for already installed cables) to a maximum conductor temperature of +70°C during normal operation. In the event of a short circuit, the cable withstands a short-term temperature rise up to +160°C. A test voltage of 2000V at a frequency of 50Hz ensures effective insulation quality control.

The minimum bending radius is 4 times the external diameter for standard installation and 2 times the diameter when carefully forming cable ends.

Applications and installation compatibility

H05V-U cable is used in electrical power installations - from simple lighting circuits to control and signaling systems. It is particularly recommended for installation inside electrical devices, lighting fixtures, and switchboards.

Ideal for fixed installation in conduit pipes run on plaster, under plaster, and in installation ducts. It is suitable for both residential and commercial construction, where long-term infrastructural solutions are used.
