Uponor ECOFLEX Aqua Single 25x3.5/140 single pre-insulated pipe is a component dedicated to building efficient and hygienic domestic hot water installations. Designed for underground systems, it not only ensures safe medium transport but also minimizes heat loss, resulting in energy savings. Made of cross-linked polyethylene (PE-Xa), it is characterized by high resistance to temperature and pressure, guaranteeing long-lasting and trouble-free operation.

Construction and properties

The pipe consists of several key elements that together provide its unique properties. The inner layer made of PE-Xa (cross-linked polyethylene) is resistant to high temperatures (up to 70°C continuous operation and 80°C short-term) and a working pressure of up to 10 bar. The pipe is surrounded by high-quality closed-cell PE-X foam insulation, which effectively reduces heat loss – the thermal conductivity coefficient is only 0.04 W/(m.K). The whole is protected by a corrugated outer jacket made of HDPE (high-density polyethylene), which protects against mechanical damage and facilitates installation. The corrugated outer surface increases the flexibility of the pipe, making it easier to run in difficult terrain conditions, and also compensates for ground movements.
