Pre-insulated pipes for efficient hot water transport

Uponor ECOFLEX Aqua Single 50x6.9/175 single pre-insulated pipe is a component dedicated to building efficient and hygienic domestic hot water systems, especially in underground networks. The inner pipe made of cross-linked polyethylene (PE-Xa) ensures durability and resistance to high temperatures, while the outer insulation layer made of PE-X foam minimizes heat loss. The whole is surrounded by a corrugated polyethylene (HDPE) jacket, which protects against mechanical damage and facilitates installation.

Construction and properties

ECOFLEX Aqua pipes are characterized by a self-compensating construction, which means that temperature changes do not significantly affect their dimensions. The inner pipe with a diameter of 50 mm and a wall thickness of 6.9 mm ensures adequate medium flow, and the maximum working pressure of 10 bar guarantees safe use. The thermal conductivity coefficient of the pipe is 0.04 W/(m.K), which translates to low energy losses. The minimum bending radius is 550 mm, which facilitates laying the pipes in complex installations.

It can be used to transport water at a temperature of up to 70°C in continuous mode and short-term temperature spikes up to 80°C.
