Comprehensive solution for central heating and domestic hot water installations
Uponor ECOFLEX Quattro pre-insulated quadruple pipe is a ready-made solution for heating and domestic hot water systems with circulation. Designed for efficiency and ease of installation, it combines four pipes in a single insulated structure – two for domestic hot water and two for central heating. This saves time and costs, especially in extensive installations.
The pipe is made of durable cross-linked polyethylene (PE-Xa) with an anti-diffusion layer, which guarantees long-term reliability and corrosion resistance. The PE-X foam insulation minimizes heat loss, resulting in lower operating costs. The corrugated outer jacket made of HDPE provides additional mechanical protection and facilitates identification of individual circuits thanks to the colored marking of the insulation around each pipe.
Construction and operating parameters
The construction of the ECOFLEX Quattro pipe has been designed for versatility and ease of installation. The flexibility of the material allows it to be adapted to complex layouts without the need for additional fittings. The pipe is adapted to work at a maximum operating pressure of 6 bar for central heating and 10 bar for domestic hot water. The short-term medium temperature can reach up to 95°C, and the continuous operating temperature is 70°C. The minimum bending radius is 800 mm, which facilitates routing the installation in tight spaces.
The pipe has sockets, which simplifies the process of connecting system elements. The wall thickness of the inner pipes has been adapted to the intended use: 2.9 mm and 4.4 mm for heating pipes and 3.5 mm for the DHW pipe. The thermal conductivity coefficient of the insulation is 0.04 W/(m·K), which ensures excellent thermal insulation properties. This minimizes energy losses and ensures the system operates efficiently for a long time.
