The Uponor MLC pipe is a versatile solution for building water supply, central heating and cooling installations. Construction and properties

The Uponor MLC 50x4.5 mm pipe is a combination of several layers of materials, which translates into unique user properties. The middle layer of aluminum provides dimensional stability and limits thermal expansion, which is particularly important in heating systems. The inner and outer layers made of PE-RT II guarantee resistance to corrosion and high temperatures (up to 95°C for a short time). The pipe's flexibility (minimum bending radius 200 mm) makes it easier to run the installation in difficult conditions, and the lack of the need to use additional bending elements speeds up installation. The anti-diffusion zone prevents oxygen from entering the installation, protecting it from corrosion.

Application and installation

The Uponor MLC pipe is intended for use in systems:

• Hot and cold potable water installations.
• Underfloor and radiator central heating (operating temperature up to 80°C).
• Cooling installations (operating temperature up to 70°C).

The installation of Uponor MLC pipes is carried out using crimp (S-Press) or soldered fittings, which guarantees the tightness and durability of the connections. The pipe can be easily cut using special scissors for multilayer pipes. It is important to observe the minimum bending radius of 200 mm to avoid mechanical damage.
