Comfort Pipe Minitec pipe from Uponor is an advanced solution designed for heating installations, particularly underfloor and low-temperature systems. Made of high-quality materials, it ensures long-lasting and trouble-free operation. Its construction based on PE-Xa technology guarantees resistance to high temperatures and pressure, and also minimizes the risk of corrosion.

This pipe is characterized by high flexibility, which facilitates installation and allows adaptation to complex installation layouts. A diameter of 9.9 mm and a wall thickness of 1.1 mm provide an optimal strength-to-flexibility ratio. In addition, the presence of an EVOH anti-diffusion layer effectively prevents oxygen from penetrating the installation, protecting it from corrosion of metal components.

Construction and properties

The Comfort Pipe Minitec pipe consists of four layers: inner and outer layers made of PE-Xa (cross-linked polyethylene), a middle layer of EVOH (ethylene vinyl alcohol) and an additional layer of plastic. Such a combination of materials provides excellent mechanical, thermal and chemical properties. A coefficient of thermal expansion of 0.14 mm/(m·K) takes into account the natural changes in the dimensions of the pipe under the influence of temperature, minimizing stress in the installation. A minimum bending radius of 49.5 mm allows for precise shaping of the pipe without the risk of damage.

The pipe is designed to operate at a maximum working pressure of 6 bar at 20°C and a short-term medium temperature of up to 100°C. It meets the requirements of DIN EN ISO 15875-1 and DIN 4726 regarding oxygen barrier properties. Fire classification E according to DIN EN 13501-1 provides additional safety. The white color of the pipe makes it easier to identify in the installation.
