Pipe for underfloor and wall heating systems
Comfort Pipe 9.9x1.1 pipe from Uponor Minitec is a key element of heating installations, designed for efficient heat distribution in underfloor and wall heating systems. Available in a length of 480 meters, it ensures installation continuity and minimizes the number of connections. Made of high-quality materials, it guarantees durability and reliable operation for years.
Construction and properties
The Comfort Pipe is characterized by a multi-layer construction, combining the advantages of different materials. The inner and outer layers made of PE-Xa (cross-linked polyethylene) provide high resistance to temperature and pressure, as well as flexibility to facilitate installation. The middle layer of EVOH (ethylene vinyl alcohol) acts as an anti-diffusion barrier, minimizing heat loss and preventing oxygen from penetrating the installation. Thanks to this, the pipe retains its properties throughout its service life.
Additional features of the Comfort Pipe:
- Flexibility: Allows easy routing of pipes in complex installation systems, without the need for numerous fittings.
- Temperature resistance: Withstands short-term temperatures up to 100°C, allowing safe use in systems with a high working temperature.
- Anti-diffusion barrier: Prevents corrosion of installation elements and extends its service life.
- Low coefficient of expansion: Limits changes in pipe dimensions under the influence of temperature, ensuring installation stability.
- Small diameter: 9.9 mm outer diameter makes the pipe ideal for use in underfloor heating where low installation height is important.
- Minimum bending radius: 49.5 mm facilitates pipe shaping during installation.
The pipe does not have glass fiber reinforcement or thermal insulation – its construction has been optimized for efficiency and durability in typical heating applications. The lack of sleeves requires the use of appropriate clamping or welded fittings, ensuring tight and durable connections.
