This is an elbow with a 1/2 inch internal thread, designed for connecting multilayer pipes in the Uponor S-Press Plus system. Made of dezincification resistant brass (DZR) and tinned, it ensures a durable and safe connection in drinking water, heating and cooling installations. The compact design facilitates pipe insulation after installation, which is particularly important in limited spaces.
Construction and application
The elbow has a crimp sleeve and a cylindrical BSPP-G (ISO 228-1) internal gas thread with a length of 38 mm. The nominal connection diameter is 1/2 inch (15), and the outer pipe diameter is 16 mm. The use of DZR brass guarantees corrosion resistance and long service life, and tinning further protects the surface from external factors. This makes the elbow ideal for use in harsh environmental conditions.
The elbow is compatible with existing Uponor components, making it easier to modernize and expand installations. Equipped with a steel crimp sleeve with an inspection hole, a precisely matched crimp jaw and a crimp execution indicator – all this translates into confidence in correct installation and connection tightness.
