45° Elbow with SC 15 stainless steel - stainless / polished, model 2326 Sanpress 435776
Crimped system for steel pipe installations
This solution is a key component in the Sanpress Inox installation systems, dedicated to creating 45-degree directional changes in pipelines. The use of stainless steel grade 316 (1.4401) ensures corrosion resistance, which is particularly important in water installations where material quality determines the longevity of the entire network. Consequently, this component does not require additional protective coatings or maintenance, simplifying both the installation process and subsequent operation.
High mechanical strength allows for operation at a working pressure of up to 16 bar at an ambient temperature of 20°C, while in heating installations, the medium temperature can reach up to 110°C. This range of parameters makes it a universal component not only for central heating systems but also for potable water systems, compressed air systems, and even industrial and fire protection installations.
Connection safety and ease of installation
A key feature of this fitting is the use of SC-Contur technology. This is a special sealing contour that acts as a visual indicator of correct installation. If a connection is missed during crimping or performed incorrectly, this contour remains visible during the system leak test. This gives the installer confidence that every joint has been made in accordance with standards, eliminating the risk of future failures and leaks.
Installation is fast and clean – it does not require the use of fire (soldering) or complex threading tools. It is sufficient to measure the pipe, cut it at a right angle, remove burrs, and press the fitting using the appropriate crimping head. The entire process takes a fraction of the time compared to traditional methods of joining steel pipes.
Application and material compatibility
This component is designed for joining stainless steel pipes with an outer diameter of 15 mm. Seals made of EPDM (ethylene-propylene-diene) rubber guarantee tightness over a wide temperature range and are resistant to aging as well as the effects of potable water and other media compliant with sanitary standards.
Key areas of application include:
- Water supply installations – for both cold water and hot domestic water (compliant with potable water requirements).
- Heating systems – central heating circuits and underfloor water heating systems.
- Industrial installations – transport of compressed air, chemical media (provided they are compatible with the chemical resistance of EPDM), or fire protection systems (sprinklers).
- Marine construction – due to the high resistance of 316 steel to saline and humid environments.
Thanks to its one-piece construction and precise dimensions (connection length is 29 mm), the fitting ensures connection stability and minimizes the risk of deformation under the influence of vibrations or thermal changes in the installation. This is a "plug-and-play" solution for professionals who value time and system reliability.
