45° Stainless Steel 316 Elbow – Press Fit, SC-Contur

Elbow made of stainless steel 316 (1.4401), featuring a press connection type – one side is a male fitting, the other a press sleeve. Both ends are designed for an outer pipe diameter of 28 mm, ensuring compatibility with the Sanpress Inox system. All connection components are made from the same grade of steel – there is no material difference between the male fitting and the sleeve.

The internal seal is made of EPDM – an elastomer resistant to temperatures up to 85°C in potable water and up to 110°C in heating installations. It requires no additional sealing, does not degrade during installation, and ensures long-term tightness even under cyclic thermal loading.

The SC-Contur technology on the press sleeve features a visible contour that allows visual confirmation of whether the connection has been properly crimped. The absence of crimping – i.e., no deformation of this contour – is immediately visible. This not only facilitates quality control but also eliminates the risk of leaks after installation.

Installation requires only the appropriate press tool – no welding, threading, or pastes are needed. The connection is made in a single motion without additional materials. This accelerates the installer's work and eliminates human errors associated with threading or welding.

Applications include both potable water and heating installations, as well as rainwater systems, compressed air systems, and industrial transport lines. It is approved for use in fire protection systems (VdS), ensuring reliability even under demanding conditions.

Maximum working pressure of 16 bar at 20°C – sufficient for most water supply and heating systems in residential and commercial buildings. There is no drain valve or air vent – this is a purely flow-through component.

This is a one-piece elbow – it contains no screws, nuts, or additional mounting components. The entire unit is a single piece of stainless steel, providing greater mechanical strength and corrosion resistance in humid or aggressive environments.
