90° Elbow with Press Fittings, Made of Bronze

The elbow is a one-piece component of the Sanpress system, designed for installation in water supply and heating systems. Both ends feature identical press fittings, enabling connection to pipes with an outer diameter of 15 mm – without the need for threading, welding, or gluing. The joints are sealed using EPDM rubber gaskets, ensuring tightness even under temperature and pressure fluctuations.

Installation and Durability

The component requires no additional surface treatment – the fittings are in a raw state, meaning there are no coating layers or coverings that could flake off during pressing. This simplifies installation and eliminates the risk of gasket damage caused by foreign substances. The working pressure of up to 16 bar at 20°C allows safe use in high-pressure systems, including central heating and domestic hot water installations.

Installation of the elbow requires no special tools beyond the standard Sanpress pressing tool set – only a suitable press tool and a pipe compatible with the system are needed. The elbow has no eccentricity or reduction; its construction is symmetrical and intended solely for connecting pipes of the same diameter. It also features no air vents or drain valves – it is purely a flow-direction-changing component.

Compatibility and Application

The component is part of the Viega Sanpress system, ensuring full compatibility with other system components: pipes, tees, valves, and other elbows. It is intended exclusively for installation by qualified installation personnel, in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. It is not suitable for gas installations or systems operating at pressures exceeding 16 bar. The bronze color (bronze or silicon bronze) is characteristic of this type of component and does not affect functionality – it primarily serves for material identification.
