Threaded and Crimped Coupling – Safe Connection for Steel Pipe Systems
The coupling is made entirely of stainless steel, without additional coatings or layers – both the crimp sleeve and the threaded connection are constructed from the same material. This eliminates the risk of corrosion at the interface, ensuring the system remains clean and resistant to water exposure, even at high temperatures.
The fitting operates within the Sanpress system – installation is performed using a hydraulic crimping tool, with no need for welding, threading, or soldering. Simply insert the 28 mm pipe into the sleeve and crimp – the connection is immediately leak-tight. The internal BSPP-G thread (1 1/4 inch) allows direct connection to valves, radiators, or other components with gas threads.
The flat EPDM seal ensures leak-tight performance at pressures up to 16 bar at 20°C – more than sufficient for typical heating or water supply installations. The medium temperature can reach up to 110°C, with a minimum operating temperature of -25°C – making the system suitable for both underfloor heating and cooling applications.
The nut is not made of stainless steel – it is manufactured from nickel-plated brass. This is standard practice in this product class: brass provides superior wear resistance during installation and removal, while nickel plating protects against corrosion. This does not affect medium quality – only parts in contact with water are made of stainless steel.
There are no bends or angles – this is a simple, straight-through component. Ideal where a direct connection between a pipe and a threaded device is required, without changing the flow direction. The KIWA certificate confirms compliance with European standards for sanitary installations.
Installation is quick and requires no specialized tools beyond the Sanpress crimping tool. There is no need to worry about leaks after several years – the mechanical connection does not age like threaded seals.
