Threaded and Press-Fitting Coupling – Safe Connection for Steel Pipe Systems

The coupling is made entirely of stainless steel and is designed for installation in Sanpress systems. Its one-piece construction ensures material uniformity – both in the threaded section and in the press fitting. There are no components made of other metals that could affect water quality.

One side features a BSPP-G internal gas thread (ISO 228-1), allowing direct connection to valves, radiators, or other devices with external threads. The other side has a press fitting that connects to a 35 mm diameter pipe using Sanpress technology. All this while maintaining a nominal diameter of 1½ inches (DN40) on both ends.

Sealing between the fitting and the pipe is ensured by a flat EPDM gasket – the same type used in other Sanpress components. No additional lubrication or special tools are required beyond a press tool. The nut that compresses the gasket at the thread is made of nickel-plated brass – the only component not matching the main material, but it does not come into contact with flowing water.

Maximum working pressure is 16 bar at 20°C – sufficient for most hot and cold water installations as well as low-temperature heating systems. The bend angle is 0°, meaning the connection is straight with no deviation. Ideal wherever a direct transition between a threaded fitting and a pipe is required.

Installation is quick: first, tighten the nut on the thread (by hand or with a wrench), then insert the pipe into the fitting using a press tool. No soldering or on-site threading is required. Everything is done outside the installation, eliminating any risk of damaging the pipe interior.

This solution is for those who want to avoid corrosive connections while maintaining installation flexibility. There are no plastic or copper components – only stainless steel and EPDM.
