90° Elbow Fitting with Press and Threaded Connection

The Sanpress 2355 fitting is a monolithic component made of stainless steel 1.4401, designed for connections in potable water and heating installations. It features one press-fitted side (SC-Contur) with an outer pipe diameter of 22 mm, and the other side has a metric internal thread Rp 1 inch (G 1"). Both connections share the same nominal diameter – 1 inch (DN 25), ensuring consistency during system replacement or expansion.

Sealing is provided by flat EPDM rubber gaskets – a material resistant to temperatures up to 70°C in potable water and up to 80°C in heating systems. The gaskets are permanently embedded in the structure, requiring no additional assembly or adjustment. The press connection operates without the need for threading – installation is performed using Viega pressing tools, eliminating the risk of leaks caused by improper tightening.

The maximum working pressure is 16 bar at 20°C, exceeding standard requirements for domestic systems. In practice, this ensures safe operation even under high pressures in water supply networks or during rapid valve closures (water hammer). The operating temperature must not exceed 80°C – appropriate for heating circuits and domestic hot water systems.

The component has no nut – it is a press fitting, not a threaded one. This is a key distinction: no tightening is required, no torque control is needed. Installation is faster, safer, and less prone to human error. All parts in contact with water are made of stainless steel – there is no brass or other materials that could affect water quality.

Compliance with standards: meets the requirements of PN-EN 806-2 and DIN 1988-200 for potable water and heating installations. The KIWA KOMO certificate confirms its approval for use in systems supplying drinking water.

Dimensions are precisely matched: the length of the press connection is 73.8 mm, and the working length (portion inserted into the pipe) is 50.8 mm. The thread length is 44 mm, with a working thread length of 25 mm. This ensures the connection is sufficiently long to provide stability and leak-tightness without excessive system extension.

No additional gaskets or thread sealant are required. The component functions as "a single unit" – from the moment of pressing until the end of the installation's service life.
