Copper installation tee Profipress

This tee from the Profipress series, made of copper, is a reliable solution for connecting pipes in water supply, heating and gas installations. Designed for pipes with an outer diameter of 108 mm, it also has a 3/4 inch (20 mm) connection, providing versatility. The Profipress system is primarily distinguished by its speed and ease of installation thanks to the crimp connection technology.

Construction and materials

The tee is made of high-quality copper (99.9% Cu-DHP), which guarantees its durability and corrosion resistance. Profipress fittings are characterized by the presence of SC-Contur – a special geometry that allows visual control of the correct crimping of the connection. This means that an un-crimped connection is immediately visible during the leak test, increasing the safety of the installation. The sealing elements are made of EPDM (ethylene propylene diene rubber) and are factory mounted.

Application and parameters

This tee is perfect for both new installations and the modernization of existing ones. It is designed to operate at a maximum working pressure of 16 bar and a working temperature of up to 105°C. It can be used in heating installations in accordance with PN-EN 12828. Thanks to the DVGW W 534 approval with the DVGW quality mark and ITB-KOT-2020/1653 issue 1, the product meets strict safety and quality standards. The fitting has been tested according to DVGW W 534 and has an approval for d12–108.0 according to DVGW regulation no. DW-8511BQ0586. It is suitable for heating installations in accordance with PN‑EN 12828, and its maximum temperature is 95°C for a period of 60 minutes. The system is designed for a nominal pressure of PN 16 and allows the detection of un-crimped connections in the air pressure range: max. 0.3 MPa / 300 kPa / 3 bar / 43.5 PSI.
