Transition fitting between press connection and R thread

The Sanpress Inox 2311 transition fitting connects an externally pressed pipe with a diameter of 28 mm to an external R thread (R-gewinde) with a nominal diameter of 1 inch. This is a one-piece component, manufactured entirely from stainless steel — both the press sleeve and the threaded end — in accordance with the Sanpress Inox system standard.

The EPDM rubber seal is integrated into the sleeve and ensures tightness at a maximum operating pressure of 16 bar at a temperature of 20°C. This material is stable in contact with drinking water and district heating water, with no risk of substance migration or degradation under standard installation conditions.

The component length is 61 mm. The design includes no additional elements — no drain valve, no air vent. This simplification reduces the number of potential failure points and requires no additional assembly or adjustment.

The fitting is intended exclusively for use with stainless steel pipes — the Sanpress Inox system is not compatible with copper pipes. Installation is performed using a standard Viega pressing tool, which presses the sleeve onto the 28 mm diameter pipe, creating a permanent, leak-tight connection without the use of glue, welding, or additional seals.

The R thread enables direct connection to fittings, valves, or other components equipped with a European tapered thread — without the need for adapters or converters. The component is suitable for water supply, heating, and sanitary installations where corrosion resistance and long-term reliability are required.
