The fitting is made of stainless steel 316 (1.4401), both in the crimped and threaded sections — ensuring not only corrosion resistance but also guaranteeing that no foreign metal is introduced that could affect water quality. The EPDM seal is pre-installed and requires no additional assembly, eliminating concerns about displacement or damage during pipe insertion.

The SC-Contur crimp connection operates on a simple principle: if the joint is not properly crimped, water or air will indicate the issue during the initial system filling. There is no need to check every connection with a pressure gauge — lack of pressure or improper flow serves as a natural error signal. This is not a “magical” feature but basic physics: a leaking joint cannot maintain even 1 bar.

The tapered thread R 1/2 (NPT) allows direct connection to valves, radiators, filters, or pumps without requiring additional adapters. Dimensions are precise: 52 mm length, 22 mm wrench size, and the distance from the crimping surface to the thread is exactly 30 mm — facilitating installation even in tight spaces.

It can be used in trunk and branch installations, suitable for both potable water and heating systems up to 110°C. The working pressure is up to 16 bar at 20°C — more than sufficient for most residential and commercial systems. There is no drain valve or air vent included — this is a purely mechanical component with no additional functions.
