Transition fitting between press system and tapered thread

The 2311 Sanpress fitting connects an externally pressed pipe with a diameter of 22 mm to a 1/2 inch external tapered thread (NPT). This is a one-piece component, manufactured entirely from stainless steel 316 (1.4401), ensuring corrosion resistance even in aggressive environments – for example, in potable water installations, heating systems, or systems handling acids and salts.

The seal made of ethylene-propylene-diene (EPDM) ensures tightness at temperatures ranging from -25°C to 110°C, as well as resistance to chlorine and other disinfectants. This is crucial for long-term reliability in sanitary and heating systems.

The press connection is based on SC-Contur technology – a precisely designed pipe surface that, after pressing, creates a mechanical and leak-tight joint without the need for additional seals or pastes. Installation requires only a specialized pressing tool, which shortens installation time and eliminates the risk of errors during thread tightening.

The NPT thread (external tapered) is a standard used in North America and many industrial systems – this fitting enables seamless connection to existing installations with threads that are not compatible with European R systems.

VdS and KIWA approvals confirm compliance with safety requirements for water supply and heating installations. The working pressure up to 16 bar at 20°C makes it safe even in high-pressure systems – for example, in circulation pumps or local boiler rooms.

A length of 54 mm allows for flexible installation even in tight spaces, and the absence of a bend angle (0°) ensures a straight, linear flow path – ideal where there is no room for bends or hydraulic dampers.
