Product features
- Transition between crimped fitting and external thread – safe and proven
The 2311 Sanpress transition fitting is an element that connects pipes from the Sanpress Inox system (22 mm diameter) to an installation equipped with a 3/4 inch tapered thread. It is made entirely of stainless steel 316 (1.4401), ensuring corrosion resistance – even in aggressive environments such as water supply systems, heating systems, or industrial applications. The material not only withstands high temperatures but also meets requirements for potable water pipes.
The EPDM rubber seal is permanently embedded in the construction – it requires no additional assembly or lubrication. Its flexibility ensures tightness under varying pressure and temperature, while remaining inert to potable water and chemical agents used in heating systems.
All crimped connections are equipped with SC-Contur – a distinctive contour on the surface that allows for quick visual inspection: if a connection has not been properly crimped, its shape differs from that of a correctly executed one. This not only facilitates post-installation inspection but also eliminates the risk of hidden leaks.
It operates safely at a maximum pressure of 16 bar and a temperature up to 110°C – sufficient for most heating and domestic hot water systems. Compliant with KIWA and VdS standards, and listed on the UBA-Positivliste – meaning it can be used in potable water installations without restrictions.
Installation is simple: one side is crimped onto a 22 mm pipe (standard outer diameter), the other – a 3/4 inch thread (NPT / BSPT) – is screwed onto a valve, radiator, or other device. There is no need for additional seals or paste. Dimensions are precise: length 56 mm, wrench size 34 mm – compatible with standard crimping tools.
It performs well not only in residential installations but also in commercial buildings: hotels, hospitals, industrial facilities, and even on ships or in fire protection systems. It has no drain valve or air vent – it is a purely transitional component.
The one-piece construction means no weak points – there are no screws or welds that could loosen or corrode. All of this together provides a solution that an installer can trust from the first crimp to the end of the installation's life.
