Transition fitting between crimp system and tapered thread

This fitting connects a pipe from the Sanpress Inox system (42 mm diameter) with a 1½" (6/4") external tapered NPT thread. It is a one-piece component made entirely of stainless steel 316 (1.4401), ensuring corrosion resistance even in aggressive environments—for example, in potable water, heating, or industrial installations where salts, chlorine, or varying pH levels are present.

The seal made of EPDM (ethylene-propylene-diene) ensures tightness at pressures up to 16 bar at 20°C and is resistant to temperatures ranging from -40°C to +120°C. No additional sealing tape or paste is required—installation is performed by crimping onto the pipe and tightening the thread, eliminating the risk of installation errors.

The overall length of the component is 81 mm, and the wrench size for tightening the thread is 50 mm (RK). The absence of a drain valve or air vent means this is a pure connecting element—it adds no functionality but also introduces no additional failure points.

Why does this solution work in practice?

• No need to improvise with adapters – the direct connection between the crimp system and the NPT thread eliminates the need for additional couplings or fittings.
