The Sanpress 2312 transition fitting is a component that connects a 42 mm SC-Contur system pipe with a metric internal thread Rp 1½. There is no need for additional adapters, reducers, or guides – everything is integrated into a single-piece element made of stainless steel 316 (1.4401). Both ends – the press sleeve and the thread – are made from the same material, eliminating the risk of galvanic corrosion and ensuring durability in aggressive environments.

The EPDM (ethylene-propylene-diene) seal ensures tightness even under cyclic temperature and pressure changes. It is resistant to hot water, steam, and most chemicals used in sanitary and heating installations. No additional sealing with tape or paste is required – simply press the pipe correctly and tighten the thread.

The 73 mm length represents an optimal compromise: long enough to allow free wrench access when tightening the thread, yet not so long as to hinder installation in tight spaces. The hexagon on the sleeve enables stable gripping during pressing – it does not rotate during operation.

A working pressure of up to 16 bar at 20°C and a temperature range from -25°C to 110°C make this fitting suitable for both heating and cooling systems. It is approved by VdS and KIWA, confirming compliance with European standards for water supply and heating installations.

Installation is simple: press the pipe into the sleeve using the appropriate Sanpress tool – no welding, soldering, or gluing is required. Then, screw the thread onto the fitting or valve. The entire process takes only a few seconds, requires no specialized skills, and generates no sparks or fumes.
