SC-Contur Coupling – Seamless, Stainless Steel, Press-Fitted

This coupling is made of stainless steel, seamless, with internally press-fitted connections – requiring no soldering, threading, or adhesive assembly. Both sides feature an identical diameter of 42 mm and are designed for use with system pipes, making it ideal for joining two sections of the same diameter in water supply and heating installations.

Sealing is ensured by flat EPDM gaskets – a flexible material resistant to temperature and chemicals, which does not degrade when exposed to potable water or hot heating water. The gaskets are integrated into the design, eliminating the need for replacement or additional installation.

Each side of the coupling has a working length of 67.3 mm – the area where the pipe is press-fitted. The total length of the component is 139.3 mm, and the wrench size required for installation is 60 mm. Installation requires only a specialized pressing tool – there is no need to rotate a nut or tighten threads.

The nut (used solely to hold the tool in place during pressing) is made of nickel-plated brass – it does not come into contact with the flowing medium and therefore does not affect water quality. Importantly: all components in contact with water are made exclusively of stainless steel.

The coupling meets VdS requirements and is intended for Sanpress systems – i.e., installations where speed of installation, durability, and leak-free performance after pressing are critical. There is no need for leak testing after installation – pressing creates a hermetic, lifetime seal.

In practice: the installer mounts it exactly like other SC-Contur components – one tool, one press, done. The end user will never see it again – but will benefit from its reliability for years to come.
