This is a threaded elbow designed to connect pipes in the Tigris M5 system by Wavin. Made of high-quality brass, it ensures durability and corrosion resistance. A 90-degree angle makes it ideal for changing the direction of the installation. Its use in hot and cold water installations, central heating, underfloor heating, and industrial installations guarantees versatility.

Design and application

The elbow connects a PEX pipe using crimp technology with a 3/4 inch BSPT-R external thread. It is compatible with various types of PEX pipes (PE-Xc/AL/PE, PERT/AL/PE, PERT/EVOH/PERT), providing great flexibility during installation. It is used where a solid and tight connection at a right angle is required. Particularly useful for creating branches in the installation or bypassing obstacles.

• Acoustic Leak Alert: Acoustic leak detection function – during a pressure test with air, an un-crimped connection emits a loud whistle (approx. 80 dB), making it easier to locate the problem. This is especially important for pressure tests carried out to avoid water stagnation and the risk of legionella bacteria development.
• Defined Leak (DLF): Visual leak control during a water pressure test – a leak from an un-crimped connection is easily visible.
• Multi Jaw: Compatibility with different jaw profiles (U, Up, H, TH, B) eliminates the need to have multiple sets of tools.
• Opti Flow: Increased hydraulic cross-section (up to 50% larger) ensures optimal medium flow and minimizes pressure loss in the installation.
• IN4SURE: Visual control of proper pipe insertion into the fitting before crimping – transparent rings allow you to check the position of the pipe from all sides.

Product features

The elbow is made of brass, which guarantees its strength and corrosion resistance. The crimp sleeve is made of stainless steel, which further increases the durability of the connection. The maximum working pressure is 10 bar at a temperature of up to 70°C and 10 bar at 20°C. The outer diameter of the connecting pipe is 25 mm for one end and 26.7 mm for the other, and the nominal diameter of the threaded connection is 3/4 inch (DN25). The wrench size is 27 mm, which facilitates the installation and disassembly of the elbow if necessary. The length of the elbow is 38 mm and the connection length is 30.5 mm. The KIWA certificate confirms the high quality of the product and compliance with applicable standards.
